Stacy Puzo


Stacy Puzo Stevenson is in her second year of graduate school at Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. As a master’s student she has chosen to follow a path of individualized study that focuses on New Media Ethics.Stacy received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism in 2002 where she designed her own bachelor’s degree program in multimedia techniques and foreign correspondence.

During her time at Ohio University, she traveled to Scotland to participate in a research program and study at Napier University for eight months. She also studied abroad in Leipzig, Germany.

After graduation, Stacy worked for ABC News International in London, where she produced content for ABCNews.com and worked as a researcher and desk editor. She also has worked as web content producer for WCPO.com/WCPO-TV  Channel 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a groundbreaking site in the broadcast news industry and winner of several Edward R. Murrow awards.

Stacy has worked as a radio news anchor, web producer and designer, newspaper editor, photographer and page layout designer. She enjoys producing multimedia projects that use alternative storytelling formats. Another current project has been a relaunch of the WKSU partnership site: www.reclaimthedream.net, which hosts stories, resources and profiles in a series about the diminishing middle class and other regional economic issues.

For 2009-10, Stacy is managing editor for the Media Law Center for Ethics and Access web site and works for center Director Jan Leach. Stacy expects to graduate in Spring 2010.

When Stacy is not working or studying, she enjoys pretending to be a duck with her2-year old daughter, spending time with her husband, and plotting the eventual reclamation of her glory days as an avid rock-climber “out West.”
